Day 58: Thinking of Florida

We have so many loved ones in Florida. Hurricane Irma continues her destructive path this morning. She’s raking over the north border of Cuba and the National Hurricane Center has her path shifting north and a little west. Florida will be struck by this massive storm which is the size of Florida, with seemingly sustained winds deeming it a dangerous category 4/5 hurricane. I will be in touch with my dearly loved ones today as connecting with them may be difficult, impossible, or intermittent in the days ahead. I am not a religious person, but I have spent a great deal of time this week sending prayers for a downgraded storm and less of a direct hit from this beast in the sky. I can only hope that my prayers are answered at this point.

I’ve endured many hurricanes much like my family has. It’s par for the course if you live in Florida. (I lived there for about 8 years.) But these hurricanes barreling through the Caribbean Islands and landing on the United States are vicious, history-making storms that dwarf superstorms of the past. My heart and mind is with my loved ones, and anyone who is hunkered down and prepared to bear the brunt of Hurricane Irma.

Stay safe dearly loved ones. Stay safe friends. Stay safe Florida.

As always dear readers, I hope you are safe, and secure, and ready for the challenges that the day may hold for you. Much love, many hugs. Namaste <3
